Positioning Your Practice for Enhanced Reimbursement Negotiations with Payers

The SE Healthcare team recently collaborated with Constellation to present a webinar aimed at helping healthcare providers enhance their position to achieve increased reimbursement. During the presentation, the team talked about the current and future challenges facing healthcare providers and offered insights to help them navigate the challenging world of reimbursement in the healthcare industry.

Christopher Rumpf, MD – VP and Chief Clinical Officer

Dr. Rumpf brings 35 years of clinical leadership in the areas of quality, safety, and reimbursement to the team. He focuses primarily on the hospital and physician group market segments. He is instrumental in helping SE’s clients take advantage of the overlap of risk management and reimbursement strategies. Most recently, he was the Chief Medical Officer for a six hospital health system. Prior to that, he was the Chief Medical Officer for a large health insurance payer.

Michael F. High – Director Reimbursement Services

Michael brings over 20 years of experience in reimbursement, strategic planning, cost savings analysis, claims analysis, pricing, contract negotiations, value-based healthcare, budgeting, accounting, and building financial models for the healthcare insurance, investment, and retail industries. He has extensive knowledge of value-based healthcare that he applies to working with clients to ensure optimal reimbursement negotiation from payers. He served for 13 years as Manager of Reimbursement for Independence Blue Cross. Prior to that, he was a Senior Healthcare Consultant for Coventry Healthcare and served in other senior roles for healthcare insurance companies and brokerage firms.

Stephanie K. Sargent, MHA, RN, CPPS – VP Product Development and Quality

Stephanie is a seasoned clinical and Lean Six Sigma professional with more than 22 years of experience in health care. As a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, she is skilled in identifying clinical and operational performance gaps to decrease professional liability risk, meet regulatory and accreditation requirements, improve clinical quality and patient outcomes, and reduce waste and inefficiencies. She previously served as the Patient Safety Program Manager at the Medical University of South Carolina where she directed safety efforts throughout the health system and provided strategic direction and programmatic initiatives to improve patient safety. Stephanie also worked as a registered nurse in Atlanta, GA; San Diego, CA; and Charleston, SC.
