CHARLESTON, SC – The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recently approved CME credits for physicians who watch the video content within SE Healthcare’s Physician Burnout Prevention Program.

The Physician Burnout Prevention Program is designed to address burnout both systematically and individually within hospitals, health systems and independent practices.

The program provides leadership with an active listening tool to uncover issues related to burnout within the organization and features an Enrichment Center where physicians and leadership are able to access 24/7 virtual coaching via a video library, which is now approved for up to 14.5 CME credits by the AAFP. The video content in the library features virtual coaching advice from Dr. Dike Drummond, the leading authority on burnout, as well as tutorial documents and audio files offering relaxation techniques.

“The Physician Burnout Prevention Program is a valuable resource for healthcare organizations, for both leadership and physicians” said President of SE Healthcare, Phil Schauer, MD. “We are thrilled to be able to enhance the value of the program even more by adding the ability for physicians to earn up to 14.5 CME credits while viewing powerful content that can significantly improve lives and help reduce instances of this tragic dilemma that’s destroying our physicians.”

AMA/AAFP Equivalency:

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
